Bandung, October 16–17, 2025 — The Vocational School of Universitas Padjadjaran hosted the Workshop on Applied Socio with the theme “Enhancing Indonesian Higher Education in Social Sciences through EU Collaboration (Erasmus+ 2026–2028).”
This two-day event, held at Hotel Savoy Homann in Bandung, was organized as a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) aimed at strengthening international collaboration in applied social sciences between Indonesian and European higher education institutions.
The FGD was attended by representatives from various Indonesian universities, including the Indonesian Forum for Vocational Higher Education (FPTVI), Universitas Hasanuddin (Unhas), Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), and Universitas Brawijaya (UB).
Through this discussion, participants had the opportunity to exchange ideas, explore potential research collaborations, and draft innovative and sustainable higher education partnership proposals in the field of applied social sciences.
The workshop featured two speakers from Hochschule Osnabrück, Germany — Prof. Dr. Kai Handel and Natalya Sharovatova, M.A. — who shared their experiences and strategies in curriculum development, applied research, and institutional capacity building to enhance the competitiveness of vocational education institutions at the international level.
This event is expected to serve as an initial step in strengthening academic networks between Universitas Padjadjaran and European partners through the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) program for the 2026–2028 period.
Through this collaboration, Vocational School of Universitas Padjadjaran reaffirms its commitment to fostering innovation, improving teaching quality, and enhancing the relevance of vocational higher education in Indonesia.
