Bandung, 2025 – The Vocational School of Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad) is advancing its commitment to SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy and SDG 13: Climate Action through research entitled “Vocational Education Investment and Environmental Sustainability in Asia-Pacific: The Role of Renewable Energy and Financial Development”.
The study, led by Khairanis Yulita, S.A., M.A., with team members Meliani Mukti, S.E., M.Sc., and Nur Sakinah Junirahma, S.Pi., M.P., explores the intersection of vocational education investment, renewable energy development, and financial growth in the Asia-Pacific region.
The research highlights the importance of equipping vocational graduates with competencies in clean energy technologies to accelerate a just and inclusive energy transition. Beyond technical energy issues, the study underscores vocational education as a driver for preparing skilled professionals capable of managing renewable resources.
The research also directly contributes to climate mitigation and adaptation efforts, emphasizing collaboration between education, industry, and government to foster sustainable energy management.
“This study marks a concrete step by Unpad Vocational School to address energy and climate challenges in the Asia-Pacific. Vocational education must serve as a solution that integrates competence, innovation, and sustainability,” the research team explained.
